I was put in touch with Stewart through my dad, Graham Howse - It was about 2011/12 and I was 14/15 at the time. Like Stewart I was creative and was into model-making and illustration, both areas which Stewart of course had a great deal of expertise. Graham had given me a copy of his book: 'Heroes for Wargames,' the copy of which I still have on my shelf. After I had read that through multiple times we ended up chatting online -where Stewart was kind enough to offer me advice on whatever I was working on at the time. I didn't know him very well, but he was incredibly helpful, patient and not at all judgmental of my abilities as a 15/16 year old artist. His support and advice with artistic fundamentals was very helpful and something I found I wasn't really getting out of my classes at school at the time. Bye Stewart, thanks for all the help, i'll try and make it count!
